Use the destination’s current maximum and verify both the measured size and the resulting document.

Can I compress a PDF to 200 KB or another custom size?

Yes. Enter 200 KB or the maximum required by the receiving service. You can also use other custom KB or MB targets.

Does “exact size” mean the output will be exactly the number I enter?

Treat the number you enter as the maximum target. FilexFlow compresses toward that limit and reports the measured result; it does not make every PDF an identical byte count.

What happens if the PDF cannot reach my target?

Some PDFs cannot reach an aggressive limit without excessive degradation. FilexFlow reports the measured result so a missed target is visible rather than presented as a successful exact-size result.

How do I choose the right KB or MB target?

Use the current maximum shown by the destination portal or service. Do not assume that an email limit, job application limit or visa-document limit applies to another submission.

Can stronger compression make a PDF harder to read?

It can. Small text, scans and detailed pages deserve review when the required target is much smaller than the original PDF.
