Questions about copying text from images
OCR can save retyping, but the usefulness of the result still depends on what is visible in the source.
Can I copy text from a screenshot?
Yes. When words are visible in a screenshot but cannot be selected, OCR can recognize them and produce text you can reuse.
Can I extract text from a photographed document?
Yes. A clear document photo can be used as OCR input. Focus, orientation, contrast and the size of the visible characters can affect recognition.
Why did OCR read a letter, number or word incorrectly?
Some characters look similar, and blur, compression, skew, shadows or unusual typography can make them harder to distinguish. Important extracted text should be checked against the image.
What about handwritten notes?
Handwritten content can be harder to recognize consistently than clear printed text. Legibility, writing style and image quality can materially affect the OCR result.
What if I need the original page layout instead of just its words?
Image to Text is intended for extracting the written content itself. If retaining the page image inside the result matters, choose an output designed to preserve that document context.
